Great to see you.

Allow Me to Introduce Myself.

Experience has taught me that life is a journey. Too many people focus on the destination. That's a mistake. It's the adventures along the way that we remember the most. Whether it's the friends, the skills, the accomplishments, or the adventures, life is better when it's done together. Care to join me on this journey?

Let's Talk.

My website is a destination. That's intentional. I'm selective about those I work with. I refer to this approach as my "No Jerks" policy. When I work with people, I like to get as much as I give. How about you?

I'm guessing you were given my name by a trusted colleague?

Are you seeking advice, guidance, mentorship, or perhaps you just need an impartial advisor you can trust to bounce ideas off of? You know what they say: The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem. Based on that, I think we can work together.

I've been fortunate in life. I've enjoyed a very successful career as an entrepreneur. I've helped startups and emerging companies grow to their next stage of awesomeness. I've been a mentor to many of our industry's brightest and most accomplished individuals. And I've had fun helping all of these people out.

It's about paying it forward and giving back. So, how can I help?

What can I do for you?

I Can Help in Many Ways.

Corporate Advisor

I began my first venture with a simple goal of solving a known problem. Everything else I had to learn the hard way. Let me ensure you avoid the expensive mistakes I made. Whether you're a startup, a scale-up or an emerging company, I can help.

Investor Advisor

Raising money is scary if you're a founder or a corporate leader. If you're an investor, it's even scarier. That's where I come in. I've raised private and debt-based capital and can provide investors that balanced perspective they need before investing.

Executive Mentorship

Giving back is important, in my opinion. I have partnered with the Wilfrid Laurier's LanchPad program, was a member of their Entrepreneurship Advisory Council, and contributed to the Communitech Hyperdrive and ASCent initiatives. Shall we talk?

Not-for-Profit Advocate

Your goals are huge, but how do you realize the vision? That's the challenge not-for-profits face. You need funding, volunteers, community support, government support, technology, and processes. You need help. Let me show you how we did it.

These are just a few of the ways that people engage with me. If any of these styles of engagements works for you, then we should explore whether I'm a good fit for your specific requirements. If you have something else in mind, then we should talk. I love new adventures.

Sales and Marketing Expert

Sales needs more leads. Marketing needs more budget. They both need more staff. You need a more predictable revenue stream. How do you tame this beast and hit your targets? It's easier than you might imagine. Shall we get the gang together?

Executive at Large

Is your organization missing a key leader? You know the type of player you want, but you can't afford them. You know the outcome you need to achieve, but that requires experience. Maybe all you really need is a rental. Welcome to free agency.

Go-to-Market Strategies

When the market leader has more money in their loss column than you can imagine in your revenue column, you need help bringing your solution to market. I've combined guerrilla tactics with the power of data to change the game. Care to learn more?

Musician and Performer

Music soothes the savage beast. And in the cutthroat world of business, the savage beast often involves a ledger sheet, misbehaving employees, troublesome investors, and lots of conflict. The answer is obvious. Join me on stage. Let's jam.

My passion for revenue generation and entrepreneurial pursuits all began at Watcom, a spinoff from the University of Waterloo, where I led our inside sales organization. It was there where I helped the founders grow, be acquired, be acquired again, and suddenly I was driving revenue for the sixth-largest software company in the word. I was hooked. And that's why I co-founded Virtual Causeway — to share the lessons learned across small, medium, and large organizations with enterprises looking to start up, scale up, or dominate their category. I've been the startup. I've done the scale-up. I now dominate my competition.

Did I mention that I've done this multiple times?

Virtual Causeway

Yes. I do have a day job.
